Miss Shannon O'Lear

Dear Michael & Christina,

Your experience with Alexandra through her illness especially touched my heart, since I had a neice who recently passed away from a genetic disorder in February, 2002.

I watched my own sister and brother-in-law go through similar emotions as you have gone through.

Shannon was, with all of her handicaps, a blessing to our family. She was our Angel on Earth and surely helped us to realize not to take one day, one minute of our own live for granted. Her mother and father, Joan and Patrick O'Lear, are also examples to us, as I am sure you both are to your family and friends, such special people who have such special children that they love UNCONDITIONALLY!

After giving these children 24 hours a day care and love, I know how exhausted you must be. But I wanted to let you know that my prayers are with you for continued strength and courage and health, and also for your daughter Brooke and your families as you see Alexandra through her illness.

God Bless You,
Kathi Quinn

The doctors said that Shannon would only live to be 4 years old, but Shannon lived on to age 8.
